This delicious pound cake is quite a treat! As if blueberry pound cake wasn’t enticing enough, this has a lime glaze on top. I have made it twice now and it never fails to be a hit!
I have really enjoyed using this recipe, which is from Fine Cooking. I’ll admit, the only trouble I had the second time I made it (which was completely my doing) was that I flipped it onto the wrong side and was too afraid that it would break if I tried to flip it back over. This made mine not quite as photogenic as the one you’ll find on Fine Cooking’s website. However, most of the people who ate this didn’t say a word about it, well, other than “yumm!”.
Should something silly like this happen to you, or if a dish you make goes terribly wrong, I recommend going with Julia Child’s motto – “never apologize.” I’m still trying to develop that skill (I habitually apologize for things that others barely notice). But nonetheless, if you like pound cake, blueberries, and lime, it won’t matter what this looks like, because it’s delicious…
